Western Mexico 2010
Our Jan 2010 trip to Western Mexico included visits to to the cities of Queretaro, Guanajuata, Morelia, and Patzcuaro. We also visited Isla Janitzio and Volcan Paricutin, where a single church steeple protrudes from the 1940s lava flow. We saw millions of Monarch butterflies at the El Rosario butterfly reserve. Four of the places we visited were on the World Heritage List.
