Paris 2018
We had a great trip to Paris. It was a winter trip which worked fine since most of the activities were inside. We stopped there for a short 5-night stay on the way to a longer trip in Croatia and the Balkans.
The only thing we did in advance was to book an Airbnb. We found a very small but nice apartment within waking distance of Notre Dame. More important, it was very close to a metro station. We spent 5 nights in Paris at a cost of $88 per night. Pretty cheap for Paris especially considering the nice location. It had a kitchen so we prepared our own breakfasts and also ate some of our dinners there.
We bought a museum pass and a Navigo Pass to use the buses and subways. Both worked out very well. The transit pass was also good for a trip to Versailles which is outside the city.
Most of the photos in this report are standard tourist shots but it will give you a feeling of Paris.

Day 2 - Sun 1/28 - Arrive Paris 11:15, took train to center, check in at 50 Rue Jenner airbnb, walk around, see Notre Dame
Day 3 - Mon 1/29 - Eiffel Tower, Arc de Triumph, Orangerie
Day 4 - Tue 1/30 - Versailles, Pantheon
Day 4 - Wed 1/31 - The Louvre, Sainte-Chapelle, Orsay
Day 5 - Thur 2/1 - Pompidou Center, Jewish Museum, Picasso Museum
Day 6 - Fri 2/2 - Fly to Ljubljana in the Balkans
