Galapagos 1994 1995
In 1994 , Rena and I joined friends Janet, Ken, Tass, and Bruce for a trip to the Galapagos. We charted an entire boat, a 12 passenger Brigantine Schooner, run by Captain Franklin. His girl friend Sarah was the cook and Juan was our guide. We added a few more people when we arrived in Quito, Equator. We flew to Baltra, the only island in the Galapagos that is populated and boarded our boat. We did the standard 7-day 6-night trip where we slept on the boat and spent the days at different islands. The following year, I returned and did an identical trip. I took my daughters Andi and Marla, along with another group of friends.
Wildlife viewing in the Galapagos is amazing. The birds and animals have no fear of people so you can approach very close to them. The photos in this report are from both trips. I grouped them by island and usually identified the birds and animals. Other than that, there is no particular order to the images.
