Sydney 2016
This is a family gallery. My daughter Marla's husband Simon is from Sydney. Marla, Simon, Sophie, and Alex all flew from the States. Rena and I arranged to visit Sydney at the same time so that we could meet Simon's big family. Simon's mother, Heidi, lives there. So does his brother Dan, wife Deng, and 2 daughters, Alyssa and Naomi. And his sister Yael, husband Warwick, and 2 daughters, Claire and Cicely. While we were there, his other brother Yonah visited from Hungary. Quite a family gathering.
We spent 8 days there after finishing our New Zealand trip. Along with family outings,. Rena and I walked all over Sydney and took a tour of the Opera House. We also spent 2 nights in the nearby Blue Mountains which is a World Heritage site.
ITINERARY
Day 1 - Flew to Sydney from Auckland NZ
Day 2- Visited the Taronga Zoo
Day 3- Visited downtown and the Botanical Gardens
Day 4 - Walked along the beach
Day 5 - Toured the Opera House and drove along the beach
Day 6,7 - Stayed at an airbnb in Katoomba in the Blue Mountains. Hiked and enjoyed the ambiance of the small town.
Day 8 - Back in Sydney
Day 9 - Flew home
