Historical Family Photos
I finished scanning a box of old photos that I have had in a drawer for many years. Also some prints that I recently got from Al and Katie. I used a good quality flatbed scanner at 600 dots per inch. The quality is surprisingly good. Although many of the photos were out of focus, even the small 2 x 3 prints had enough resolution to look OK enlarged. I did some cropping, editing, and darkening.
The 119 images in this gallery date from the early 1900’s up to about 1965. There is no particular order. Very few of the photos have exact dates. They are mostly the following people
Grandpa August Mueller,
Grandma Marie Mueller,
Their son Delbert, wife Nora, and son Allan,
Their daughter Olga (my mother), her husband Emil Henke (my father),
My brother Dave and myself,
Plus a few others
I have some other galleries from the 60’s, 70’s, and 80’s on Smugmug. The images are from scanned slides, which I started taking in 1963. See the “From the Past” galleries in my Family Folder.
If you can identify any of the people who are not labeled, please let me know.
I am particular interested in
(1) The young women in Prints 34 and 41
(2) The women in Print 42 - very old print
(3) The 1909 postcard in Prints 76 and 77
(4) The two men in Print 115
