Utukok - Kokolik Camps 2015

This album documents all the places we camped on the Utukok-Kokolik float trip. We named every camp in a way that helped us remember the camps after the trip. This album will be more interesting to the 4 people on the trip - Craig, Armando, Brian, and Rich. For a description of the actual float trip, see the gallery titled Utukok-Kokolik Float 2015

Camp 1 - Driftwood Camp - Our first camp after being flown from Kotzebue to the headwaters of the Utukok by Jim Kincaid.
Camp 2 - Utukok - Lost Boat Camp - Before the wind blew the boats away.
Camp 3 - Utukok - Soaring SOAR Camp - Name was an indication of how hard the wind was blowing when we stopped. We had to hold onto the boats tightly to keep them from being blown away. We camped in the willows to get out of the wind.
Camp 4 - Utukok - Snow Bear Camp - Watching a grizley through the spotting scope.
