Mississippi River 2008

The Mississippi River is wild between Memphis and Vicksburg. We did a 5-day float in Nov 2008 with a small commercial company called Quapaw, headed by John Ruskey. We started 12 miles west of Clarksdale, Mississippi and finished at Rosedale. Our craft was a 26-foot handcrafted wooden canoe patterned after the Voyager Canoes used on the Great Lakes. We visited Memphis afterward. Participants were R&R, Greg Scarich, Louisa Bonnie, cousin Allan Mueller and wife Kati, and Mitch Helbrecht.
