Main Salmon Raft - 2010
Our friends Carl Hamke and Judi Steciak hit the lottery and got a Main Salmon rafting permit. Along with Rena and I, other participants included Craig Miller, Tony Segniri, Tyler Hamke (Carl's nephew), MaryJo Butler, and Paul Dawson. I drove to Idaho carrying my kayak and raft. Craig and Rena oared the raft while I kayaked for the first time in a few years. The trip was superbly organized. The water levels were fairly low insuring a mellow trip. We had great dutch oven food most evenings, pleasant weather, and nice company. It was interesting to float this river again 19 years after I did it previously.
